Code of Conduct
Living Media Art is a digital space in flux, built collectively through the contributions and conversations of its users. To keep this space open and safe, we ask everyone to follow a few shared principles.
- Stay on topic. Living Media Art is not an archive, but a knowledge sharing platform dedicated to the discussion, preservation, and exchange of media and digital art – including video art, net art, immersive environments, moving image practices, and socially engaged media art. All contributions should relate to these areas.
- Be respectful and keep it constructive. Treat others with care. Critique is welcome when it builds understanding or opens dialogue. Avoid trolling, personal attacks, or performative negativity.
- Contribute thoughtfully. This platform is a shared experiment that thrives on exchange. Share your knowledge, your perspective, and your questions, but give others space to do the same.
- Credit and consent matter. Acknowledge the work and voices of others. Only share materials you have the right to share, and always credit collaborators.
- No discrimination or harassment. We do not tolerate language or behaviour that excludes, intimidates, or harms based on race, gender, sexuality, ability, or background.
- Protect the space. If you see something that violates these principles, flag it or contact the LI-MA team. We’ll review the situation with fairness and transparency.
- No self-promotion. This platform is a space for shared learning and exchange, not self-promotion. Please refrain from advertising your own work or events.
